What You Should Know:

A League study helps members understand all sides of an issue. Once a study is completed, then the members of the study present their findings to the LWV membership. Members then reach concensus to form a position regarding the subject. A Position guides League action on a particular issue.

Why You Should Care:

League reaches a position on an issue only after careful consideration and general membership agreement regarding the issue. League is not a "winner take all" organization, but rather comes to thoughtful conclusions regarding issues and positions. Members make the difference.
