Topic: Taking Action in Support of LWVIL Lobby Day

Join us for the next Defend Democracy Drop-In, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 11:00 am - 12 pm at the Glen Ellyn Library.
Every Spring members of the LWV Illinois travel to Springfield to lobby their state officials on key legislative priorities for Illinoisans. This year, we will use our time at Defend Democracy Drop-In to support that effort “virtually.” We will learn about the issues, and provide you with talking points and contact information so you can contact your state officials. See the attached handout for more information!

Please bring your phone, and a tablet/computer. Note: in an effort to be more green, handouts will not be available at the meeting.

This is democracy in action so we hope to see you there - And bring a friend!
