Mark Senak - Village President
Mark Senak was elected as Village President in 2021. Prior to his role as President, he was a two-term Village Trustee serving from 2015 – 2019, and from 2019 until his election to President.  Additionally, he previously served as a member of the Village’s Architectural Review Commission from 2013-2015. President Senak has been a resident of Glen Ellyn for over 26 years with his wife Laura and three children.  For the past 13 years, he has been a Partner with the law firm Senak Keegan Gleason & Smith, Ltd.  President Senak represents the true meaning of “Village of Volunteers” in Glen Ellyn as he is an active volunteer in and around DuPage County. He is a member of the DuPage County Emergency Response Team (CERT) and volunteers with DuPage County PADS.  He is also a volunteer with the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA), serving as a mentor in the Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring program and as a judge for the DCBA’s High School Mock Trial Competition.   President Senak holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul College of Law and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychology from Indiana University.  President Senak’s favorite part of Glen Ellyn is the residents. “Their passion and commitment to the Village are what make Glen Ellyn a great place to live.”

Mark Franz - Village Manager
Mark Franz is currently the Village Manager for the Village of Glen Ellyn, IL.  He has 25 years of municipal experience and was the 2015 Illinois City Managers Association (ILCMA) President.  Previously, he was the Village Manager in Homewood for eight years and has worked for the City of Evanston and the Village of Northbrook earlier in his career.  He is a graduate of Indiana University, and received a MPA from Northern Illinois University.  He is currently the Chair of the ILCMA Committee on Professional Conduct.
