Defend Democracy Drop-In

  • Glen Ellyn Public Library 400 Duane Street Glen Ellyn, IL, 60137 United States (map)

Come one, come all and spend an hour defending democracy. Why not bring a friend and then go out for lunch afterward in Glen Ellyn! HB3582 and HB2892; two bills that call for a truly independent Legislative Inspector General in Illinois will be reviewed. We will be contacting our State House and Senate representatives, Governor Pritzker and the House and Senate Ethics Committee Chairs and members. Guidance and resources will be provided on writing letters to the editor.

Please bring your cell phones as we will be making calls together. or emailing. If possible you can also bring your laptops/tablets in order to log on to the public official’s websites to send e-mails. The day’s leader will provide background information on the issues  as well as talking points for phone calls and/or post card/letter writing. Postcards and stamps will be provided for those who want to purchase on site (under $1).

Come help defend democracy!
