Lynn joined the LWVGE in 2018. A 30 year resident of Glen Ellyn, Lynn is a lifelong educator and understands the invaluable role of education in sustaining a healthy and vibrant democracy. She served as Director of Publications and on the Nominating Committee before accepting the position of co-president alongside Heather Fleming in 2025. On April 17th, the LWV acknowledged that our country was in a constitutional crisis and vowed to mobilize 8.5 million voters “through advocacy, mobilization, civic education and engagement.” Lynn was inspired to answer this call to action, and along with Heather and her sisters in the League, will do the hard work of “empowering voters and defending democracy.”

-
Gail Bernstein
VOTER SERVICES
Gail first joined the League of Women Voters in the early 1970’s while living in Springfield, IL. After moving to Glen Ellyn in 1987, children, a job and continued education got in the way of joining the Glen Ellyn League. But upon retirement Gail reached out to the Glen Ellyn League to fill the civic engagement and camaraderie with engaged women she had enjoyed in the past. Gail has served LWVGE as a board member for Global Democracy, then as treasurer for four years. She handled Voter Registration for several years and has served on numerous committees and studies and as Chair of the Budget committee. Because she feels it is the most important thing that League does, she is glad to be involved in Voter Services again.

Deb Hornell
VOTER SERVICES
A resident of Glen Ellyn since 1988, Deb has served on non-profit boards for over 30 years, as well as running a consulting firm in Organization Development. Deb’s three children (who graduated from Glenbard West), accompanied her to the voting booth many times, to underscore the importance of voting as a right and responsibility. She looks forward to co-chairing Voter Services as a way to take a more active role in supporting the League’s mission of encouraging informed and active participation of citizens in government.
