League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn Recognizes Service Award Recipients

Since the year 2000, LWVGE has recognized outstanding volunteer efforts from among its hundreds of members with an annual award program. Selected by committees from nominations submitted by members, the most recent awards were bestowed upon the recipients during the LWVGE’s 2025-2026 Annual meeting.

Amy Hohulin was the recipient of the Phyllis Renfro Community Service Award which goes to a member who has been exceptionally active in League and is an activist in the community. Amy was recognized for her leadership in the successful LWVGE Anti-Idling Initiative.

Alida Wagner was the recipient of the Outstanding New League Member Service Award which goes to a new member who has become actively involved and assumed a leadership role in our League. Alida was recognized for volunteering to organize the March No Kings III Rally for the League, and has accepted a position on the incoming board.

Judy Burke was the recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Voter Service Award which goes to a member who has worked diligently to register voters and inform voters on candidates and issues. Judy was recognized for her work in coordinating voter registration drives for the League in 2025 and 2026.
